At the second half of the year, I reviewed my goals. Sadly, I realised I had not achieved over 60%. This gave me concern and I knew I had to do something.
I had to spend a “me time” reflecting on how the year had been and what measures I was taking to achieve set goals; I began asking myself questions like why and how. I noticed that my achieved goals were due to conscious efforts; my mistake was thinking the rest would fall into place since the major ones were already on ground. But, that wasn’t happening.
Eventually, I made a deliberate effort to up the percentage of my achieved goals and that’s what I’ve been doing. Its not been an easy come, but I am determined to fight my fight.
Goals are aspirations; without conscious, deliberate and disciplined efforts, you get nothing. To achieve them, you should be willing to walk the extra mile and pay the necessary dues.
